D'oh!!! just paid £357 for insurance !!

South east London, no garage , 2 years no claim, 2 years full driving licence , 125cc scooter worth £1.5k.

It hurts ! :crying:

**** mate, feel sorry for you. but still 4 times less than mine for 2 bikes.

Did you shop around?

I did but no history of riding motorbike in UK does not help at all, top of that is nationality, bike value, untrusty face expression all in all and you end up paying like for… never mind.

But for jakubkuba I believe the keeper address might be a key.

A premium is defined by various factors but as you point out Postcode can have the biggest effect on premium. It may have a high theft area.

www.tiger.co.uk was recommended to me by a fellow broker. I have always found that they are the cheapest comparison site for me every year.

Thx Miss  will use it end of month as it is renewal for one of the bikes.

R

I pay more than that a month…

Ouch!

Well that is that fair system, if I only been in UK from birth or be part of colonies then fair enough but well my 20 years no claims is worth nothing in UK.

And when the bike is overnight in guarded by rothweiler and mosad sqad garage in the middle of mine field. That is helping as well. And should be worth less than 1k.

R

oddly enough an SE9 postcode brought my insurance down from N10 postcode. N10 is such a nice area but SE9 is $hit. go figure…

Also surely a scooter is a bigger theft risk than a bike?

Oh my bleeding heart!! Try £1000+ just because some **** did not check his mirror!! I lost all my no claims and carry the blame until my hit and run is resolved!!

I passed my test back in Polska in 1998, only transferred to UK driving licence in 2011. My insurance company does not accept the date when l passed the test . when l asked the policeman he said “cos you eastern Europe ride on wrong side of the road”

Good they don’t complain that steering on bike back in Poland is on wrong side as well. 1998, mine is 92 never the less I believe the test was more harsh back there than any time in UK with “give him a credit” approach.

Robert -

your face is the most important factor in determining premiums…

are you sure you don’t look like this?

I’m blonde, furthermore to much hair.
I have to go on sunbeds or smth, I don’t know, marry some old British lady to get citizenship and maybe small castle for my family, and obviously £25 a year premium for Hayabusa.

At least you ain’t ginger
