As a topic of conversation is there anyone out there that has a signature dish that they like to cook people when they come round for dinner. Or is there a special meal that you love to cook for that special someone?

I have several, my favourite is home made meat balls in my home made tomato sauce with fresh basil and mozzarella…it’s the best and when it comes out of the oven with the cheese and bazil all over the top it looks awasome.
Got someone special coming around then?
yeah!!! white chocolate cheesecake with strawberries and passion fruit
I’m very popular amongst my mates’ women
If it don’t come out of the freezer cabinet, and don’t have “Aunt Bessie’s” written on the packaging, it ain’t worth cooking!

I have a few. Hard to choose, but would probably depend on how nice the person is.
Tarka dahl, that beats any Indian restaurants.
Also special rice with caramelized onions & spices.
They are kind of my signature dishes. I just cook what’s popular with my partner & at the moment she loves my rocket salad, with Parmesan. Also I’m making awesome chips with Desiree potatoes. Yummy

He is very good at cooking…I can vouch for that.I like to cook a nice steak with mash. The mash ain’t wipped though as I only add butter, tiny bit of milk, mash it a bit and then add ground black pepper and some chopped spring onion. I also like to top the steak with a mushroom and red onion mix that has been done in the pan with sesame oil, chives, oregano and mixed herbs. It’s rather tasty. :PI also like to do a diced beef and ale stew full of carrots, mushrooms, red onion, peas and sweetcorn, herbs and ground black pepper and my signature mash tatties! ![]()
Contrary to what Mark says about my cooking … (I only do my best when it’s appreciated)
I cook a mean roast dinner and a wicked lasagne…Kids will only eat my spag bol, they say it’s never the same if they have it out or at mates houses.
Love all puddings but am crap at making any unless it’s boxed … well my own home made flans and trifles are easy peasy
