Being in a village that has lots of flowers, my business partner and I decided to join in with this flower lark.

We have geraniums, bergonias and Marigolds.

It is now getting to the end of the season, what do I do with them now?

Just forget about them and go ride your bike

Put them in the bin.

You’ve got two of the three (or four) choices already.

You can also buy a greenhouse at £ lots and nurse the bloody things all through the winter (get a book) just to have them die in the spring when you put them out.

Or you can do the above and be disappointed at how sh*t they are next year if they live.

After X0 years of the greenhouse thing, chuck them in the bin and go buy new next spring. You can also buy something different that way.

Gardening is/can be fun but it steals time x lots.

Thank you for all your comments, and I do actually agree with all of them.

Go on my bike today - will have to be the mountain bike, as the one with the motor is in the UK and I’m in the Alps.

At least with the mountain bike, I can enjoy the vino today!

Grow veg instead:D much more fun with the family getting involved and you can eat the fruits of your labour BONUS!! and whilst their growing go ride your bike

Grow some nice WEED

That is what I do in the UK, just finished ripping out the runner beans, and still have an ample crop of tomatoes that we’re picking!

The Alps is a different story for growing stuff, and I don’t usually do flowers!

Had a pragmatic friend who worked on the “Only grow it if you can sit on it, eat it or sell it”.

The first and third were grass, the second was vegetables and fruits (obviously) and he used to grow all sorts, peppers, beetroot and stuff, in his front garden instead of the bloody daffodils and geraniums.

Looked just as good.
