I’m part of a team attempting to do the 2012 Budapest to Bamako rally on three ex-Dominos Honda Innovas. We’re also taking an old Vauxhall Frontera ambulance as a support vehicle, that we’re donating to a local hospital on arrival in Mali. The rally is 16 days and 9000km for the race, but we have to get to the start line, and we’re intending on riding back unsupported.
We are based in Sheffield and working as delivery riders, so funds are tight. The scooters are going to take a lot of modification, and we’re looking for sponsorship and ways to cut costs, so check out our website and see what we’re doing. Any advice or support (financial or otherwise) would be most appreciated. We heard that in London the streets are paved with gold, so if anyone feels like sending us a couple of paving slabs…
