Dent removal tip

If you have a shallow dent on your tank which hasn’t broken the paint try this…

http://popuplace.com/index.php?ind=media&op=file_view&iden=281486

Been a bit surprised to get no feedback on this idea…then opened it myself and I think I see the problem:)

I found this tip and copied it and didnt see the rest of the page.

It looks a bit iffy I must agree but if you play the clip it really does show how to do this and nothing else.

You say there’s a clip hidden on that page that has something to do with dent removal?

I noticed he had a smaller dent to the right, which he didn’t repair???

Errmmmm…yes you are right. I guess he thought the demo on one dent would be enough??

I’ve not tried it and I’m not suggesting that a hairdryer and some gas would sort out the bike Terry dented but thought it worth a mention. My mate has a dent on his car door and we are going to give it a go…

Blimey - that link should be marked not worksafe me thinks :w00t:

here is a Work safe video from youtube

Idean seems plausible… using extrem heats 9 hot and hot) but i would imagen you can only do it for usrface dents, where the metal haven’t caved in fully.

But where the hell would you get a can of liquid CO2?

Thanks P…That is a better link…no really:)

A dent that shalow could be blown out with an airline:cool:

Not if its on a car door:D Anyway, this looks more fun:D

Sorry, I was refering to a petrol tank, mybad:cool:

Like the clip says get a can of ‘airduster’, which you can get from most computer shops such as PC World etc. It’s just an aerosol which you use for blowing dust from surfaces etc. By holding the can upside down your spraying out the liquid CO2 instead of gas.

Hrm, brilliant! Nice post!

But, that’s on thin aluminium car panels, not heavy steel bike tanks? I have a dent on my tank I’d like to try and get removed, but I doubt this would work?

Ok, i failed to hear it, coz when i not working, i don’t to let me boss (who sits right in front of me) that i’m not working!

Ok, so the original link is nasty.

When i clicked on it it chucked a.exe right through my firewall (zonealarm).

It was blocked trying to connect back to the web thank gawd, to remove i had to reboot in safe mode, rebooted and xp would not start damnit.

Ive just spent an hour fixing it. Perhaps it was not specifically that link, but just in case, check for a.exe in your c:/windows/system32 folder.

Forewarned is forarmed…
