As I am now going to have to move to a new role, I will be needed to do some travelling (with a laptop) so was wondering which backpack was a good one. It does need to be waterproof cause I won’t be able to choose the when I ride! 
I haven’t seen anything from Kriega but I have a vague recollection of someone telling me about a Knox backpack?
I got a Booq bag for mine. Not cheap but very, very good. Can’t remember if it’s absolutely waterproof, but it’s pretty good and I can’t remember mine getting wet inside when I used it through a nasty winter (80 miles a day).
I have a couple of Crumpler ones , decided to get a laptop specific bag as aposed to a bike bag that can take a laptop if you see what I mean !

The Knox one comes with a laptop pouch to go in the rucksack, never used it though.
Is that pouch waterproof?
no idea actually, I imagine its not but the bag’s waterproof, doesn’t say on their website either. Will fit a 17" notebook

i got a kriega35* that you can try on tonight if you want**… its not 100% waterproof but you can get a waterproof liner (dont get the kriega one - get one from those outdoor stores)
or is you want to spend more get the new Kriega30 that is 100% waterproof.
*i carry alot in it… gym kit + shoes, towel,lunch,and work cloths and never notice the weight
** tonight being Wends means that i havent gone to the gym so its lighter than normal

I use this laptop back pack. It’s the most comfortable one I have ever owned and quite roomy for all your other bits. I was caught in a downpour the other day and my laptop was ok, however, if you are too worried you can always wrap it in a plastic bag for the journey.
Both the Kriega 25 & 35 can hold a laptop, and keep it dry - even in a pour-down.
The 35 holds a lot more, but is also a lot ‘bulkier’ - and the front fastening is a little more cumbersome - but both are really good.
If your laptop is quite slim (like a macbook), it’ll fit in the back pocket. AND, if it’s cold - it warms your back, and protects it!! lol
Also going to be at BM tonight (for a short while), so you can try it on.
