So I’m sorry to all pink bike fans, but the SV is getting resprayed - by me. Here are some photos of the respray so far:

One day when I’ve got some cash togehter I’ll probably go have it redone professionally.
You know if it had been hot pink - like properly barbie-full-on-max-strength pink I would probably have kept it. But this is can’t-quite-be-arsed pink. So it has to go.

Very bold work evilmango! Please keep us informed, I’m very interested to see how you’ll prep the tank, as I have to do the same to my DRZ tank at some stage. I started trying to sand it back but found it very, very hard work.

Uff. I’ve not yet started on the tank. To be honest I think it might be easier than the faring and tail - sanding those was a right b*stard because of all the tight mouldings.
I’ve finished the fairing now and it looks pretty decent. Just done spraying the the tail, but some damned spider decided to spin a web just before I did, so now I have some nice lines in my paintwork.
It looked like a nice enough pink, like the pink panther.

No way! But then up here in the North, the local Yorkshire folk are a little “traditional” about their manliness so if I had a pink bike I’d get beaten to a pulp. Last bike was banana yellow and that was bad enough!
i thought it was a nice colour - but then again i have an orange bike…

Nah it was a horrible metallic naff pink. Pink panther pink is a much better pink.
Anyhow I think I will come down cubana tomorrow night with my half pink/half black bike.
