battery is fine alarm (datatool S3) chirps on and off fine but when switching on the kill switch no dash lights etc
headlights turn on fine
seems like the alarm is not turning off the immoboliser ??
anyone else had this

Could be low battery voltage

Put a multimeter across the battery terminals, if the voltage is less than 12.4v give it a charge

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Typical multimeter readings for serviceable batteries are:

· 12.6v - 12.8v fully charged

· 12.2v – 12.4v partially charged

· 11.8v - 12.0v fully discharged

· 10.5v under load or dead cell

· 13.2v – 14.4v continuous (alternator) charging

· 4 amps over 4 hours for a rapid charge

· 1.5 amps over 12 hour for a slow trickle charge

· 35mA standby current drain by ECU, alarm, clock etc

Didnt have my meter on me , but headlights worked fine and I connected jump leads to my beemer and left it running for a while and still nothing
hence why I think the immoboliser is playing up

Todays update

Yea, Id think its a battery issue.
Do you know how old the old one is?

yeah but battery meters fine and everything else works , which is the confusing part
