Datatool System 3 Alarm

I’m pretty sure that there are mixed views on the Datatool System 3 alarm but I have one fitted to my daytona 600 and it’s given me no problem for the 2 1/2 years that I have had the bike. However last Monday I returned to the bike after work and it wouldn’t disarm. Got taken home by SOS rescue. Didn’t use for a couple of days but on Thursday used the bike, no problems. Same Friday until it wouldn’t disarm again after work. Used it today but came home and had same problem. I had a peek under the bodywork but the wiring looks a nightmare so 1) Anyone experienced this sort of problem 2) How easy is it to uninstall the alarm system.

The remotes are working OK.

I’d be grateful for any advice/comments.

Hey dude

I had a similar problem with my system too, Some days it would disarm and some days it wouldn’t, I ended up returning the bike to Suzuki and they found there was a fault with the mother board. Lucky it was covered under warranty but i think yours may have run out.

Try sending a PM to CharlyBR600-RR as he installs these alarms

CharlyBR600-RR - The PIN doesn’t seem to be working, the alarm resounds when I switch on the ignition. I don’t have any paperwork for the alarm installation - I bought the bike when it was a couple of months old with the alarm already installed. I’ll see if my dealer can sort it.

My latest bike had one, was a total nightmare. It was only a matter of time til the imobillosor stranded me somewhere.

I decided to get rid when i realised none of my neighbours came running out to beat up the nasty thieves everytime it went off!

Informed the insurance company, they told me it would increase my premium and id have to pay the extra, fair enough.

They put me on hold for 5 mins while they calculated, came back ZERO!

Got the same problem with my Mille, Alarm disarms but not the imobaliser!!! been told its a common problem with the system 3 alarms. Getting mine removed asap so I dont get stuck some were on a ride out

Charlie, is the system 4 much better?

Well my system 4 stopped working the day after I picked the bike up.

It just makes very quiet ticking noises when set off. Back to the dealer on Wednesday.
