Dartford to Park lane

Hi there,
Just managed to get myself a new job, which is off Park Lane. Commute on the bike at the moment to Bank - Can anyone advise on the best route from Dartford/North Kent to get there - either through South London or through Blackwall tunnel and follow the river?

Cheers for any advise.

Thanks,
Tim

IMHO M25->A13->A40 or M25->A13->A3211->A4

Pretty much have same way, not the greatest but at last dual carriageway ending close to the destination.

Congrats on the new job!I work nearby in Berkeley Square. if you haven’t got any bike parking with your new job, register for Parking by Phone and pay for a ‘season ticket’ as the traffic wardens here are very quick to dish out tickets.

By the way, I come in from Bromley and come through Kennington, Oval then Westminster Bridge and around in front of Buck House.

Cheers for the advice and the congrats! Appears to be underground parking, free for motorbikes, so shouldn’t be an issue.

Cheers again!

WW675 do you take the A2, Old Kent Road? Take it you ride a Daytona? On a STR myself - I’ll keep an eye out for you!

I go from Crayford to Blackfriars via A2, Old Kent road (sometimes) but mostly A2 and round the back roads through Deptford, Bermondsey etc - if thats any help - and well done on the new job too.

Thanks all for the advice - much appreciated!!

Hey mate…

You fail to mention the most important factor - What bike are you doing it on?!?

My personal suggestion would be, to play around with routes into Mayfair from where you are… It’s always nice to have a selection of routes so you can shake things up a bit, for fun and to avoid traffic or closures, keep yourself interested and look for the rat runs etc…

Also that is a pretty sweet deal with the free underground parking!

Good luck with the new job

Hi Conrad,

I’m on a Street Triple R - Will try a few different runs out and try to familiarise myself with the area, never worked, lived or ridden round Inner South East or Westminster. The free parking is public, Q-Park, free for motorcycles.

Cheers mate!
