Danmoto exhaust

I’m on a bit of a budget trying to do up my bike a bit before I sell it. The exhaust is dented, scratched and generally fooked. So I’ve been looking online for a suitable replacement and have happened upon this:

seem to have decent reviews online that I can find and a very reasonable price.

Anyone had any experience of their stuff?

PB mag did a test on one of their cans in an article they did on buying cheapo bits from China a few months back, IIRC it was very poorly made & fell to bits fairly quickly.

Interesting, I’ve not seen a single bad review of them online, a few people knocking them on forums because they’re cheap and from china but without having any experience of them.

The welding on the Danmotos I’ve seen are generally pretty good and they sound ok as well. I’d get it if I was in your shoes, after all you aren’t going to have the bike for long.

Yeah I’m thinking I can’t really go wrong for that money especially as you say I’m not going to have it for that long

I personally don’t think they are that bad and with a bit of modding/taking apart your can get a good sound out of it too.

tbh as long as it sounds half decent I’m not that bothered, want it gone in the next month, 2 tops, won’t be riding it anyway

I don’t think this is your model but gives you some idea of what to expect. There is some light revving at the end.

single can on mine but it sounds pretty sweet, nice low rumble going on. Plus I think the carbon will go nice with the metallic black respray it’s just had

right I’ve ordered one, I’ll see what it’s like and report back

My mate ran one on his ZX6R for years. Still has it although bike is sold.

Very nicely put together, but pretty loud. He got pulled once (not in London).

i know someone thats just bought one, i’m awaiting hearing it on his SV:cool::smiley:

my frd has them on his cbr600F4i, sounds awesome, and very cool unique looking too

just received it, looks very sexy, all the welds are nice, seems pretty well made. Can’t wait to try it out on the bike

am looking forward to your report seen these come up a few times before but dont know anyone thats ever had one

cost me a grand total of £87, so thought it was worth a punt, got good reviews online so we’ll see how things go

right here goes.

Received it within 5 days of ordering it. Well packaged etc…

Installation was a doddle, everything fit perfectly, the clamp on the link pipe was a bit of a bastard to get on but with a bit of brute force I got there.

Sounds fanatstic, nice low rumble on idle, didn’t seem too loud but haven’t taken it for a spin yet as the bike is SORN’d, isn’t insured and doesn’t have an MOT.

Mates got one on his Ninja. looks pretty awesome! £87 is dirt cheap! Can afford to buy a new one each spring time! Sounds lush too

must admit I was a bit nervous as I hadn’t heard of them, but the reviews were good. £20 of that £87 is postage, and £5 of it is the baffle, so it really was dirt cheap. I’m really happy with it, their website is well worth a look as they got a decent selection.
