Dainesse kit rating

Hi guys, firstly, I’m pretty new on here, think I bought the 'virtual’s some time ago, but haven’t really posted much.

Anyway, all my kit is Dainese, leathers and textiles, and it has saved me twice in the last year!!

First crash, Wandsworth, textiles saved me on 30 yard slide after van hit me head on, sending me over the top.

Second crash, SMIDSY, pulled out on me down A25, just outside Reigate. Over the top again. Leather jacket took full brunt of it down my left side, but didn’t come apart at all, until medics cut it off!!

Did suffer broken collarbone, broken ribs, punctured lung, SLAP lesion, oh and my bicep was ripped off the bone!

I will always buy Dainese, for the protection they have given me, experienced first hand!!

Got to replace it all again now!!

Also found that 9-lives in Guildford, Dainese specialists, were spot on altering my leathers, couldn’t see where they had cut n stitched anywhere!!

Well, hopefully back on the road in next couple of weeks on my old ‘fightered’ GSXR750 J in time to get some practise in before picking up my new GSXR750 K6 early March!!

Look forward to seeing you guys soon :0)

Blimey!!! That’s some story. A proper ‘road’ test in every sense.

Welcome on board, go easy this year, and enjoy the site.

Can’t keep a good man down!

Well, this year has got to be better, blimey, can’t get worse. Been off work for nearly a year now, but, fingers crossed aim to get return on 25th Feb, if physio says I’m up to it!!

Don’t think I could ever stop riding, part of life, not just an A to B thing :0)

Got to die of something,eh lol…

I’m gonna ask 'cause I’m nosy, how can you get insured for a K6 after those stories? I get penalised for every bug I collect in the summer, never mind going a**e over t*t !!

Where you cleared of all blame, thus taking title of unluckiest biker in London?

but right on with the attitude, you’re amongst friends here.

Well both crashes were the 3rd party’s fault and are still, obviously, going through, although blame is confirmed.

Unfortuantely the first crash was caused by an uninsured Polish twat, so that is going to take ages to go through the MIB!

As haven’t been riding for quite a while, haven’t got insurance at the moment as I’ve only got my old ‘fighter’ left in the garage - my GSXR100Z K4 and my everyday GSX600F were both written off!!

Just hope that my insurance company take all this into account when I call in the next couple of weeks - fingers crossed!!

Must be the most unluckiest guy on here - or the luckiest, depending how you look at it, I guess!!!

Blimey fella, some stories. Don’t forget to try Suzuki insurance, and eBike, both getting very good comments on the forums right now.

Bloody hell mate. That’s mental! Oh and welcome to the site.

Good to know that someone has road tested the kit for us. Which stuff were you wearing if you don’t mind me asking?

My textile jacket was the Atlas with the M4 textile trousers and my leathers were the M4 Div suit (altered by Nine Lives)

Not cheap, but, like I’ve said, they saved me twice!!!

Did actually get good deals from P&H in Crawley - well, their clothing dept is good for Dainese anyway!!!

I’ll give Suzuki a try for the insurance. Did have a nose at eBike but they came in well high, horses for courses and all that.

I’ve always been insured with Virgin, who said there wouldn’t be any increase as long as I send themn proof that the crashes were the fault of the 3rd parties - we’ll see!

Thanks for all the welcomes guys - look forward to meeting up with you once I’m back on the road.

Know one guy off here, a Northern Monkey type, Richard on red R6!!! But he hasn’t put me off

Welcome to the friendly site boyo.Keep us posted with how you get on with the reinsurance as sometimes people know other numbers which are worth trying if it all gets a bit heavy. Keep your fingers crossed.

PS youve confirmed what I needed to know Dainesse it is!!!

Holy cow!!..I could feel your pain bro(getwdz), hope you have a better year in 06 ( sacrifize sum chickens or sumthing)!. Think you would do this guy proud!!

LOL

Yeah, think I’m starting to get like him Ha! Ha!

Well, at least some good came out of it - I’ve bench tested the Dainese gear for you guys

Cheers for the welcome guys
