Hi Darbo,
are your Akrapovic cans the race or road ones ? I’m guessing they are the race type (straight though), and I see you have a PC fitted.
In all likelyhood the bike was remapped for the cans as they produce less back pressure than the road version, if this was the case then you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.
However if you are still using a road mapping then the race cans will make the bike run lean, and shortening them even leaner.
I’d air on the side of caution and make sure you run if anything slightly rich as this won’t cause any harm, but running lean can cause the engine to run hotter than normal or even burn out valves.
As I have the tuneboy software and lead I’m able to re-programe my ECU directly, but the PC works slightly differently and sits inline between the engine and ECU and modifys the output.
Can you not increase your fuel/air ratio as a safety measure for the time being then get a custom map done at a dyno centre.
Cheers.
Ive e-mailed a local dyno place regarding a custom map etc, awaiting a reply from them. Thanks for your imput
