Cheers Smiled … loads more to be done to it though and it looks like the bloke I got to do the work is doing a right top job. He undercut the price of it to be done by the other companies by a lot of money. Once I get the lid and have a proper look, I’ll post up in name and shame and let everyone know exactly what it cost and how good the work is.

Will let you know when it’s finally done, but lets just say that it’s not as bad as everyone thinks and the chap I’m using undercut all the other quotes including some by over £200 !!
I’m sure I’ve mentioned how horrible yellow looks on a bike, I think it looks great on a Lid though !!

Ok, next installment to bore you all !
Just recieved an update from the chap thats doing my lid.
He’s thrown a Scottish flag on the back instead of the Celtic Cross at the moment and having had a look at the pics, I think that it looks great as it is. I reckon the celtic cross would be a bit “too much”.
I’ve asked him not too bother with the cross and just add my surname to it.
Whatcha all think ?
At the end of it all (with the blokes permission) I’ll post up his full details and the price it cost - I can’t tell you how helpful he’s been and really good at keeping me updated.

Ok … Last installment of my Helmet buying and artwork.
My Lid arrived today and what can I say … I’m absolutley chuffed to bits with it.
When I started out I e-mailed several different companies and got a load of quotes right up to the £450 mark.
I picked the following Airbrush chap to do the work - Mike Preston of http://www.mikepdesigns.co.uk
He quoted me £150 plus I had to pay postage on top of that. Alltogether a fantastic price and the quality of the work is very good.
His quotes will depend on the work he’s got to do, so send him an e-mail and I’m sure he’ll get back to you with a quote that will be a lot better than most other companies.
He did take a long time to do the lid (about 5 weeks) but it was worth the wait and a lot better paying £450 to have it back in a couple of weeks.
I would highly recommend him and strongly advise you to get a quote from him if you’re needing / wanting any of this type of work done.
He went along with the design I wanted and made a suggestion and an alteration (with my full consultation) which in my opinion made the helmet even better looking than I thought it would be.
