Given I love motorbikes, I intend on attending ‘Harley Night’ at the Ace Cafe this evening. As you can see from my avatar, I do not ride a cruiser. I wish to attend based on my unfettered passion for motorbikes, and I have always admired the look of cruisers.
However, something someone once said seems to haunt me - cruisers and sports bikers do not get on, as if there is some unspoken rule of rivalry or however one wishes to word it.
My question to you experienced bikers, is should I expect any form of hostility this evening?
this is funny, i started my biking life on a cruiser and ended up with an R6
as long as you like bikes you’ll be fine, but its their dress code that makes me laugh sometimes
Seen the Heineken ad where young couples enter a cinema full of big hairy bikers?
That’s my experience too. Get past the Fuckoff image and they are just bikers underneath, though I might not try that in America and a few bits of Scandinavia.
As for cruisers v sportsbikes, WTF? Ride what you want, borrocks to other people.
Well, I made it back in one piece without being glassed or stabbed lol
Funny enough, though it was Harley night, there was a lot of us sports bikers there, and for once I rode pillion on a friend’s 400 and I absolutely lost control of my bowels as he rode 100mph…Funny how I am not afraid when I am breaching speed limits, though put me on the back of a bike that is speeding and watch me say my prayers!
haha Daniel Nah, There was a point when I looked down at the speedo and saw the needle pointing just past 100mph, and it was no cruiser either - Honda VFR 400. Can’t believe the irony of speed experienced in different roles.
