crashed :(

(((((hugs)))))

So it’s happened there lots of times before? A letter is in order then to the highways agency to put the >>>> signs up and maybe a warning sign, hell maybe even a light? Help others to not fall foul to the same fate

Bikes can be repaired at least it didnt mar those good looks of yours ;):Whistling:

Ahh mate, I’m sorry to hear this! I know how you must feel :frowning:

I guess the driver didn’t stop? Would be nice to know just what the heck they were thinking.

I would report the incident to the local Police and the Council, at least to get some signs up so others don’t fall foul to the same thing.

Mate, it’s gutting…I came off my R1 earlier this year in a lowside on cold tyres…You almost wish you were more hurt and the bike was ok…Well I did…But yeah that’s stupid thinking.

Anyway, if you need help fixing your R1 up mate, then I can lend a hand as I have some experience in this area.

I can also get new R1 OEM parts cheap. Takes a little while but some good savings.

Get me the Yamaha part numbers of what you need or just give me the descriptions and I’ll help you out.

Heal up soon mate…Need to see you back on track.

ooooh:pinch: Glad you got away with the smaller side of injuries…too many times these bends can be lethal. Hope you and your steed feel better soon.

Aww that’s crap :frowning: The A272 is a brilliant road, but not so forgiving in the dark, especially when random cagers are doing random things with their headlights.

Heal quickly! (you and the bike)

Sorry to hear this mate! but glad you bounced well:) last time we had a rideout the cars were doing the same in the country lanes at night and were worse when there were no dividing white lines. It was tricky then, and I was following follow you:crazy:

You should have been going quicker, they would have seen your sparks coming off your knee sliders…:stuck_out_tongue:

Hope you and your bike are well on the mend and back on the road soon:)

yeash, unlucky mate. sounds like you were lucky to ride away, let alone anything else. what bit(s) of the bike hit the pole? is the frame ok?not exactly useful advice now but i find my tomtom is really handy for getting a fix on where the next bit of road goes ahead of me, and spot corners/how tight they’re going to be. blummin hard to judge some bits of road even if you’re experience out on the lanes (which i’m definitely not)

Sh!t news mate…glad you ok, but bent bike is very painful - I know!!

A272 (awesome road) is a killer, for those who don’t respect it - Usually 2-3 deaths along there each year.

Figure you’re a lucky one.

Cager sounds out of order!

Did they stop?

Jamie man sorry to read about that… i know what its like i have had it myself dodgy bends looking like they go the other way when they dont gotta ride accordingly… hope its all fixable and you get it all sorted sounds like a total pisser but for future ref i have had 20 miles out of my reserve taking it easy, well 70 mph on a motorway neednt of had your mind on fuel… anything you need a hand with give me a shout

ok??

:frowning:

I don’t use TomTom Rider so maybe mine is different but there’s no way I’d want to be looking at a Sat nav screen approaching a bend.Does your TomTom have a wide zoomed out overview? Mine does this but keeps reverting back to zoomed in every few seconds

Good to see you back on here Si

Yeah 20 miles out of reserve is usual but I have had 26 (before running out of petrol :doze: )

bludy hell jamie…adz just phoned me about this.!!!

we were only yapping about it weds night…

hope your ok tho mate…good to see you came off lightly(no pun intended dude)…

if you need any help mate gimmie a shout…i’ll help any way i can…

take it easy mate…

no so smiled:(.

Thanks everyone kind words.

I can’t really lay all the blame on the cage driver. I avoided him and he was long gone by the time I binned it. It was just one of many things all together.

I was not on it. I think I can handle myself round the twistie suff, both knees on the deck, but you can’t do much about it if if you can’t see the road. I was going much slower then we had been earlier that evening and as a result it was more my lack of concentration. Obviously there was a part of me that thought I was good enough to take anything this road had to throw up, but I was wrong.

No worries Fro thanks for noticing… 26 is noted now, i know i knew 20 wouldnt be to far off an empty i jus couldnt be arsed to fill up and summin told me id get home

Sorry to hear this mate, glad it wasn’t worse.

really sorry to hear this m8

hope your not in to much discomfort!!!

every off u have makes u a better more consous rider

im talking from experiance here m8 i slowed right down now m8 asked smiled adz and the rest of the gixer sisters and theyl tell what i`m like now

As per phone call sorry bout this jamie…

let me know if you want a hand with the bike…

like i said on the phone its funny… you get caught out when you least expect it…

you can ride like a loon and be fine… but when your pootling your most at risk because its easy to day dream.

last time i binned it was the same store…

remind us all to pay full attention at all times…

bad news jamie, at least you didnt hit the telegraph pole!

if you need any help gives a ring.

amen
