Crash Bungs for a Bandit 6

Hello all,

I recently got a Bandit 6, having fun with the bike, but moving up from a GS500 and being a shortarse, i am coming to realise that at some point i am gonna drop this lardy ******* at slow speed, i don’t really fancy replacing engine casings,

anyone know somewhere in or around the m25 that fits crash bungs (not really interested in the bars, a bit much…) and what they charge?

Any help much appreciated… Cheers

-Don

Cheers, will give him a ring in the new year…

What kinda damage am i looking at though, roughly, as i am skint.

Also i hear alot about R & G but are they the best? or does it depend on the mounting your bike has in relation to how effective bungs are?

my mate had crash bars …they looked cool

I’ve used Renthal crash bars, 3 point mounting rather than a single point for the crash bungs, so more solid, cost about £60, or get them for less off fleabay.

R&Gs are at least as good as any other bung makers & as they only have the single bolt fixing, would only take 20 mins to fit even with a tea & fag break in the middle…

If you’re concerned about tip-toeing around on it, the bandit is relatively easy to lower either with longer suspension linkages on the back or a lower seat, which model do you have ?

96 Naked bandit,

I would consider bars if they dident ruin the ruggedly handsome looks of the bandit

EDIT:

Saying that i been looking at some pictures and the bars don’t look that bad…
