Crap day

Got a puncture on ride home from the Ace then police with radar guns catch up on A3. They point at me so I pull in and officer tells me “slow the **** down!”. I am now wondering if I’ll get a ticket in the post.

Nah if they didnt give you one or tell you that your getting one then you will ok

No she didn’t say anything apart from swear about my speed. She then told me to go.

Well I’d say good day as you didn’t get a ticket.

Yeah not all coppers are hell bent on issuing tickets, some genuinely want you to ride safer for your own neck if nowt else

You don’t think I’ll get a ticket in the post? Then it would be a good day. Was well over the speed limit.

Why would you ride fast with a puncture?

Just wondering

Had the recovery repair the puncture.

You don’t mention how fast you were going but just be aware that a puncture repair will weaken the tyre and sometimes they recommend you keep your speed down. Did the recovery person recommend you stay below a certain speed?

Sounds like you were very, very lucky not to have been prosecuted by the police. The policewoman obviously liked you; she was either just in a good mood, is a motorcyclist herself, or perhaps she fancied you. Did she give you her number

Haha, she didn’t give me her number. Would’ve been interesting though!

Recovery guy said take it easy in the beginning and afterwards it should be fine thereafter.

I was doing 80 in a place where it was a lot less but a dual carriageway

you must have been flat out:D

Guildford ring by any chance? I think if you were going to get a ticket they would have used different language…and yes by all accounts a good day getting off with 80 in a 50.

Hahaha ******* hell. Sounds like you got away with it. I agree that is she said “slow the **** down”, she isnt sending you a ticket. Shame you didn’t get her number xD
