Covering your vehicle registration number (VRN) loophole closed!

I thought all London bikers would be interested to know that another motorcycle parking loophole has been closed… Civil Enforcement Officers (Parking Attendants) now have the power to remove any obstruction covering your VRN. Full info is on http://www.motorcycleparking.com/footway_pavement_parking.shtml#covering_vrn_and_tax_disc

I love the part that they are not liable for any damage they cause eithier ! so if you have a bike cover and are totally legal they can remove it and possibly damage it with no come back whatsoever.

Brilliant

Its just one good news story after another

So ******* angry about this it’s unreal. Here where I work there are 2 bays which are permit holders only and they are empty every day. There is then 1 other bay which is always full and you can never get into? I understand why there are permit holder bays, but it seems mad that they can remain empty all day?? Now means I’m going to have to park a long way away from work and I daresay the other bike owners who have been covering their bikes will be fighting for spaces.

What also angers me is we are not allowed to park in pay and display spaces here either, so there pretty much is nowhere to park?

Nightmare.

M

where is that ?

Near Ladbroke Grove, (Barlby Road/Ladbroke Grove).

Pretty much the same in Kensington.

Resident permit bays are empty from 8 am - 6 pm and there is now where else to park because the few none resident bays are chocker.

It’s just so ******* stupid. At least turn them into pay-per-day bays or something? Anything.

Agree, it’s is plain stupid.

I’m lucky when I visit Kensington because I can park at the police station but it’s still a pain if I’m going to the other end of Ken High Street
