I know there’s another thread here for someone else nicked at 100+ … i got radar gunned in Yorkshire - 101.52Mph (from behind, I think)
I was ticked at the scene, and was looking for advice on good lawyers… incase I get a ban - can I request it be heard in Lancashire (as I know nobody who could drive me to my hearing)
I also hear that Yorkshire cops hate bikers from Lancashire riding over there and enjoying the twisty roads, in actuality I was visiting my grandmother who lives over there!
How much will the fact I ride a sensible bike (YZF-600 Thundercat) and wear sensible gear (black Dainese plain stuff), have Luggage racks and wear a bright sensible white helmet help me do we think?
… trying to put out the image that I’m a sensible biker, I ride to work, cos it’s the only viable way to get here |(the middle of Manchester centre) and that it was my first day out on a 600cc bike (up from a 400 that wouldn’t touch a ton) and that I wasn’t out to rag the arse off my bike on their lovely twisty roads…
Any/all advice from the coppers, and people that have been through it is welcome - as I can’t afford to lose my license!
I heard, that in some cases, they’ll let you take a 1/2/3/4 week ban (book it off work)… and I was even thinking if it was worth getting a solicitor to represent me, and maybe give up my right to ride in yorkshire for a few months…
