My first off-roading experience. I had the bike (DR350), had a lid, had some trousers but only old summer sports bike gear for the rest. I fell over a lot, learnt to hate a kick-start bike and slippery tyres and went home a complete mess, but I loved it!
I took the bike back for a refund a month later, I couldn’t stand the kick-start, it never bloody worked for me! Made me very late for work a whole number of times!
Wouldn’t mind giving it another go … when it’s warmer.
It was at a private place in Hemel Hempstead. I was taken there as a guest and loved the place, but it wasn’t official, we weren’t meant to be there and the word was that the owner was doing time at her majesties pleasure.
there are a lot off off road tracks around london and a bit further out for the good ones if you go to http://www.mxtrax.co.uk/ they have a map of england with dots showing the tracks ,if you click on them it gives directions and info on the tracks . when are you gonna come again jay i like seeing you roll around on the floor !
so you will be ready to go this weekend then my dear boy . not sure where we are going, want to go to cusses gorrse (i think thats how it is spelt ). only if the weather is good !
that looks like great fun i cant believe you got a refund on the bike after that it must of had a few stone chips in the frame did u get a complete refund?
deffo invest in some less road, more mud tyres! it is great fun, prefer when its dryer than that, only ever ridden in mud like that on my rm like once lol dropped it twice its horrid on a smoker, especially a 125, doesnt dig deep like the torquey thumpers.
glad ya had some fun, and get back out there
2 lil pics of me in the mud
its bad at a track, run out of tear offs, then they steam and the water spray wrecks them, then you rub them and kill em, then you take them off and its clear but extremly dodgy got to just shut eyes when the others come by
