I know I am a complete novice yet to take my cbt but how on earth do i convert my hubby to see the light about bikes. I would never have anything very big (bikewise)…specially till i took the das and seeing as i am brassick that wont be the near future.
I so would love to be …dare i say it…a part time biker…u know as in hobby type thingy. How safe would guys say biking is?
I think that it all depend with what you look like in a leather gear…
Or you could try to convince him that you are just trying to even the odd on eho died first between man and woman…
To say that again in English…you make a big difference to your safety. Learn defensive riding. If you drive as well, it’ll make you a better driver (IMHO).
There will always be ‘accidents’ - i.e. something that you could do nothing about, but quite a lot of bike offs and crashes can be avoided.
I’ve been sat on the road when i should have been sat on my bike 3 times. Twice it was my fault, being inexperienced, not knowing my limitations.
The other time was rightly put down as the drivers fault (rear-ended me whilst I was stopped), but it’s changed how I ride to reduce the chances of it happening again.
So, take your CBT, take your time, and enjoy what is a fabulous thing to do - riding your bike. I give him until early summer before he wants a bike too :o)
