Need to replace front and rear on the Bird but can decide what to go for - BT021’s , Avon Storms or Conti’s…

Go for Avon Storms you get the replacement warranty within 1000 miles too if you get a puncture. Well worth it in London. More importantly, they are good tyres.

I’ve also taken advantage of the Avon Road Hazard Warranty and had a rear swapped after 800 miles after picking up a nail…
hmmm how did the nail get there?
and do you need to go to the same place you had them fitted to get them replaced?
No idea how the nail got there… must have picked it up on the road.
I bought the tyres from FWR and they take part in the warranty scheme… I rang them if they’d swap it and they did it that morning. All it cost me was the fitting charge… about twelve quid I think… I’m sure you do need to go back to where you bought them. (proof of purchase required… )
As long as you’ve not used more than 1mm of tread, they’ll swap it FOC.
I find the Storms a good tyre too BTW. More than enough grip and very good in the wet. They don’t tend to square off too quickly with commuting either… 
Another vote for the Storms as currently in use on the Flying Banana. £196 fitted at FWR.
I’ve got a set of road attacks on the GSA, and gotta say I’m not that impressed with the wear rate. They’ve done about 1k miles, and look like they’ve been on the track a couple of times. Maybe a weekend in north wales didn’t help much. But now they’ve started to square off to.
My choice would be Road Pilot 2’s. Had them on the busa, fantastic tyres.
