Mate - hope I’m wrong, but a glorious exit at the SF stage to Brazil awaits
Should be a brilliant month ahead
UK Forces send England World Cup squad luck from Afghanistan
Couldn’t they send something more effective, like a couple of grenades?
I don’t know what you’re all getting all worked up about… the ball’s the wrong shape anyway and there are too many sensitive girls on the pitch for a decent match. Besides everyone knows that Kabaddi is the real man’s sport!
There’s no escaping the World Cup and our ‘attempt’ to actually win something in football at a high level.
I wish them luck…but… I really couldn’t give a hoot. Were not going to win. I hate every false England football supporter that seems to appear and have this ‘un-dying, ever growing passion’ for the football team. Where did they all come from??
Im looking forward to quieter roads over the next month and will most definately be avoiding all football related falseness and hype for a bunch of over paid, under worked, wag cheating, ever disappointing nannies running around in the sun.
(if you do support England and will be watching, i hope you enjoy it)
Love the armed forces message, I hope England stays in for a good long time after watching that.
As Ireland were knocked out by Mr va va voom’s hand ball, I haven’t got a team to follow. Himself will be following the footie so I will probably cheer along with him.
I’ll be enjoying the empty roads!
WHoop Whoop ! party hard
I know what you mean Lewis. i personally love club football but international football doesnt interest me one bit. That being said its the WORLD CUP, CUPO DEL MUNDO! only happens every 4 years and i dont mind jumping on the England bandwaggen for it. I think we should all embrace it and spur the team on with our hearts! (even if, in our minds we do all know we wont even get to the final)
Ahhhh… time to support the national sport where we last lifted this cup in 1966.
And yet the Rugby team who won the world cup then made the finals in the following world cup get very little support by comparison, and often don’t get the back page of the newspaper due to club level football news.
It makes me sad that we can’t give the same support to a team of winners that we do to a team of losers (in every possible sense of the word).
Im only watching the world cup to see Eboue
Oh England we love you
I love england I really do and no one wants to see them win more than me.
But if I’m honest I think this is one of the most unexperience teams we have ever fielded and I think we are gonig to struggle with the lack of international experience.
we have an italian coach…

we dont seem to mind supporting crap tennis players at Wimbeldon either! but we still do it and it gets big time in the news!
How many people will bite ?
Shocked to see my neighbours ENTIRE HOUSE covered with England flags and bunting. Must be quite dark inside as he’s draped them over the whole facade including the over all the windows. Sadly they were already starting to sag after a heavy downpour this morning. I think its the same guy who covers his house with elves and reindeer at Christmas time.
