Collapsable bike trailers

plan is to get a trailer to ferry the bikes to track next year and as have bugger all place to store the normal ones I’m looking at one of these puppies that a few LB’ers have

Looking to get one in the new year so thought I’d mention in case anyone was also interested. Maybe can sort a discount if so?

Any of you fancy getting one?

yep I’d be very interested in coming in on this as when I leave Scotland I will have 2 bikes and I Land Rover to get back down South but when I get home I’ll have little room to store a trailer

Have you seen this site jb might get a good deal there if a few want them.

not to burst your bubble, but i would look carefully into it before purchasing.

think of the cost of two motorbikes on the back of something thats been put together with a spanner…

it might save you space, but nuts and bolts are no match for good old box welded sections…

you guys can alway rent mine if im not using it. Its just had widened runner fitted and a full service ready for next year! Cost me £800 quid for the service, takes 2 1000cc bikes and 2 set of spare wheels!

cheers for the posts and thats very generous rixxy. Steve I know a few people who have these and they are absolutely fine.

As it turns out after having made a few calls on friday about the new car we’re getting, it cant take a blumming tow bar! how annoying is that. in fact any of the performance car stuff tends to have a big issue with type approval. seems to range from gearbox heat concerns, to lack of suitable mounting given the use of carbon fibre, aluminium etc.

so looks like we’ll just be getting the motor and occassionally hiring a van.

Still think these trailers are a great solution tho. so maybe a few of you can still club together on this one.

Won’t be an issue for me I’m buying a new Land Rover Defender 90 :D:D

I’ve never had one but always felt that they looked fragile.

At 600kg maximum bike weight -

That’s nearly TWO Harley Fat Boys !!! :w00t:

  • I cannot imagine how something that looks so insubstantial could carry that load safely. If it can I’m impressed.
