whoa what has happened there?!??
Assuming it’s not been photoshopped, I’d say a failed sprocket carrier bearing.
I suspect the first problem was a missing spacer/sleeve…
yeah missing spacer I guess… You think you’d notice though as the bolts seem to have gradually punched their way into the swingarm…
Yep, someone forgot to put the spacer back in!
Or got left & right spacers mixed up…which is exactly what Watling Tyres did on my old zzr1100 causing a not quite so dramatic version of this pic.
Watling Tyres also forgot to put my rear right spacer in, tightened it back up very tight! Felt awful riding home. Took it apart and noticed. Jumped in car and got down there and they had thrown it out! I had to go through the scrap metal pile to get it out! Utter twats.

Through the swingarm:D. Hence the caption:D
Blatantly photoshopped but quite a good poster:)
Can anyone guess the bike???
CB500?

I think the swinger is a bit big and also the wheel looks like a 3 spoke,
I’m gonna have to say mk1 bandit 600 by the look of the carrier! Just a guess:)
I think it’s an SV650 (based on the place I lifted it from) - so yeah you were right about the Suzuki carrier - same part used in Bandit and SV I think. :)I genuinely don’t think it was photoshopped - combination of totally ignorant rider and gradual wearing away of swing arm by bolts.
Adz (mechanic) has posted pictures of calipers he came across which were worn down to the pistons (the pad had been completely worn away - friction material and backing plate - and the rider was using the pistons contacting the disc to stop the bike!) So this level of fuckwittery is possible. :w00t:

there is no marking on the nuts of any sign and i know that aluminuim swingarms are a re lot softer than mild steel nuts but it would still create a few visible marks and if spacer was missing the carrier would not have sat square alll the time on the shaft as the bearing is not designed to take that much lateral force so the holes would have been more larger and ragged photoshopped …

Mate, there was no defence against such piercing logic! Any resistance would have been utterly futile!
