I’ve noticed the last few days that my bike is making a clicking noise when I push it around to park it up etc. It only seems to make the noise when it’s pushed backwards and not forwards and the noise comes from the back end of the bike.
The chain is lubed and adjusted up properly and doesn’t seem to have any tight spots and there’s nothing stuck in the tyre tread and nothing touching the wheel to make the noise.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what it might be? I’m suspecting a wheel bearing, but I thought I’d see if anyone’s got any other suggestions before I start stripping it down.
Is your bike fitted with a scottoiler? if so, maybe it’s the feeding tube that clicks against the rear sprocket when pushing the bike backwards. Hub bearings could be worn otherwise.
