Riding home from work last night, bike great as always, when I got completely buzzed by a serious RR. Cut within about 3 inches of my front wheel from outside two lanes of stationary traffic…he Knew how to ride that’s for sure. It looked great, but it scared the crap out of me.
Feelin a bit narked I pegged it to catch up and go OI, give it a rest, but when I caught up with him crossing the Chelsea Bridge, I realised I was in the middle of a TONNE of hard core bikers…about 6 of whom were burning rubber in the middle of the road…didn’t think me turning up on a dinky 6 and going “Excuse me, do you mind?” would have been particularly well received…
Pah, I run to my mummy crying in the face of your scorn! Just you wait, I Toby-1-kenobi, shall disappear into exile on a really dull (and bike-less) desert planet and wear silly robes until the Rebellion needs my skills once more.
Bend with the hard core, and they’ll invite you to the good meets eh…
He didn’t trip me up, I’m a good enough rider to stay on my feet and smart enough to not try and punch above my weight…guess I’m hard-er core than I thought…
I suggest you remove the phone number any one wanting to make contact can PM you and that way, you can sort out the sith from the jedi.
I have helped a few people with the basics and largely maintenance and repairs on a bike is a question of mechano on a grander scale. Have had some great advise from Cezar and Mike M9 performance re current respray of bike and I will shortly be re-buidling my front forks.
After that funds permitting I will be adding an EVO 3 irridium coloured race cans. My little six already has a stage two dyno kit on the carbs, bosch super 4 plugs and a K&N filter to release the last ounec of power all thast needed is the can.
On ths ST G run, I think I surprised a few people as my elder baby 6 kept up with most of the newer bikes and the blades and I was two up.
There are some articles on this site will help with more planned for the future.
May the force be with you, no doubt you will be celebrating on Thursday.
