This has got to be the worst winter we have had in ages in this god forgotten land!! wtf is wrong?? usually the only thing that cheers me up about having to go to work in the morning is the riding to and from, but in these yucky conditions I am finding it far from enjoyable, last night, I got wet in places I never had before
Then u arrive at work soaking wet hoping to park your bike in your usual spot and you are faced with yet another parking suspension becase of a state visit from the Brazilian president (hope he will love his stay and enjoy our weather by the way) or because of road resurfacing… I tell you summer better come soon or there is going to be riots here!
am i alone in feeling depressed about this howwible weather?
Yup agree with you! I wanted rain to wash away the mounds of salt on the roads but not this much rain! It needs to dry up so we can all make use of those nice dry clean roads! The better weather must be coming soon surely! It has too!
I just looked at the weather on the BBC 5 day forecast and it looks pretty much wet all the way, and there was me lookin forward to superbike sunday at the ace praps i should have bought a boat instead of a bike…
Blightly, home sweet home or should that be home wet home.
I know its depressing but not as depressing as how rain effects cage drivers in-ability to control a vehicle that they don’t need a sense of balance for, and god forbid they actually have clear windows when pulling away.
u think u got it bad…look at this…SNOW, tis coming down pretty good now and its f#$%?&* March!!..feel sorry for the idiot who rode out this morning thinking it wud hold off…hehe
London drz if you get chance try and get up to Franchoek near Stellenbosch on a Sunday morning. Its about 1 hours drive from Cape Town. All the bikes ride the Hells Hoeckte Pass between Stellenbosch and Franschoek and then the Franschoek pass itself. Two or three small cafes in Franschoek itself full of bikes. Great roads, sunshine amazing amazing place. Have ridden there myself the last six years over Christmas.
Try and get there anytime from 8 am onwards and you wont be dissappointed. If you want to rent a bike let me know and I have the no of someone in Cape Town that rents tourers/ trailies. Tis not great but better than nothing. At least its two wheels to go out and have some fun on.
