Cheap Tyres?

After wearing my tyres down I find myself needing new ones again However it seems to be getting quite expensive, after only 1800 miles on the rear its nearly getting to that point of changing So does anyone know where I can get some cheap BT014’s or similar??

Thanx

Errrr…It,s either North Wembley tyres or North Wembley MC’s, whatever, the number is 020 8908 3890

Just to add to above Hennesey, if you mention you saw theyre ad at Ace cafe you get a discount

Hennesey have you tried Diablo Corsa’s had them on the B1 much better than the 014’s I now have on the C1 and they last longer IMHO

Other than that you could get yourself to a race track and get part worn race tyres. Some of these have hardly any wear and they are dirt cheap. Road legal as well. Pay about 100 to 120 for a pair.

Old Race Tyres?

Haven’t I heard something about not using them on the road due to their long warm up and quick cool down cycles?? Sounds like a recipe for gravel rash to me.

To save money praps you should think of harder compound - BT020’s for instance.

I ran them at a race school a few years ago and was worried so asked a guy from Bridgestone who said that they warm up much faster than 010’s / 014s (ideal on the road) and unless run by racer-standard dudes on track, they are actually a better tyre for road riding. Tyre firms don’t want to push a tyre that will halve their revenue at a stroke, but modern developments in tyres have seriously blurred the gap between sport/touring and sports/road. Anyway, I think 020’s were fitted on Blackbirds and Fazer 1000s as standard for sometime so they can obviously handle power…

I’ve never heard or experienced problems with mine and I’m lookin at 8k before down to wear markers. Sweet as candy.

Have you been going over the top with the old burn outs, tut tut tut

Wouldn’t have thought you had put that much wear on the tyres, but I would say get those dunlops off lol they didn’t give me much grip . I would change them on the F-sport but I’ve decided its going.

Thanx for the replies guys, everyone speaks quite highly of BT014s so Im guna give them a try, no doubt ill need new tyres in the next month anyway

Got them fitted and balanced for £210 which isnt that bad…
