Hi guys,
I’ve got a 2000 model R6 and i need to change the headlight unit this weekend.
I’ve got my Haynes manual and my trusty socket set, but have never done this kind of work on my bike before.
Anyone any ideas/tips/advice/etc?

If I remember right you just have to disconnect the bulbs, top fairing off and then unscrew the headlight from the rear lugs. Not too difficult! Be careful when unscrewing & re-screwing the headlight into the top fairing as you could find yourself cracking the lugs, which would then require some plastic welding! lol

Just a little tip I’ve learned over the years.
Put a rag over the tank and on the front mudguard to protect the paintwork from anything that falls off:)

I bottled it!Patched it up for now. Gonna pay a professional to sort it out after Christmas.

Don’t do it dude!..Come to Borough market tonight and I or one of the regulars will fit the bulbs for you.Its such a simple job, I’d be annoyed if you paid someone to do it.
