my center stand on the CBF is abit sticky lately.
wont close up when taking it off the stand - need to pull it up and bit dif to put down.
any thoughts? (yes i did was it so it aint dirt and grease)

change the spring. might be worn out or give it a liberal spray with WD40 first see if that helps

thought wd40 in aerosol ‘format’ was bad for o-rings…
You really need to remove the stand and regrease the pivot on reassembly. Not unknown in scooters - PITA though as most scooters have no side stand …
This happened on my CBF500 and it is the same centre stand.
It is not the spring, you need to remove the pin and remove all the corrosion and crap, apply copper slip and reinsert.
I didn’t do mine myself because it had completely siezed, I have it done when it went in for a service.

Kevsta is right, if difficult to pull down then not spring.
If the centre stand does not go all the way up and is too loose then it is spring.
