Anyone have any experience of the CCM R30 ? looking at buying a 2002 model with under 4000 on the clock ,any reliability / finish problems with them , i know they use the Suzuki DR650 lump so should be reliable… or am i getting delusional .

Some CCM owners love their bikes and give rave reviews, so they can’t all be wrong, but equally there are some bad reports too.
Personally when I was buying a motard I looked at the R30 and thought that the build quality was poo for a pretty expensive bike. Also SM mag tested the R30 against a Duke II about 4 years ago and the Duke out performed the R30 inspite of the fact that a rather red faced CCM had to own up to supplying a breathed on R30 to try and win the test. Then when you add to that the massive gulf in quality between CCM and KTM the KTM won hands down.
However if its cheap enough it might be a decent little tard on the cheap.
