CBR600RR

I’m just gauging interest here

For those of you who don’t know I have a 2005 year Honda CBR600RR with around 25000 exaggerated miles. I say exaggerated because the front sprocket has been dropped by a tooth and as such, the speedometer reads around 10% higher than it should. There is a slight exhaust leak at the header of cylinder 2 caused by a slightly stretched stud. Not a big fix but one that sadly time has run out on as far as I’m concerned. Bridgestone BT30 sport touring tyres were fitted some 1000 miles ago as was a fresh oil filter, oil,and coolant. Brakes have loads of life left, no signs of clutch slip and the battery was replaced a year ago. The bike is currently sporting ebay fairings, I have the full set of originals with no breaks or cracks, they have a scratch here and there and I have removed the decals from one panel in readiness for re spraying. Also I have the original exhaust (should some loon decide to buy it and return it to standard).

So, that’s it. The question is what do you think it’s value is?

What you getting next?

It’s a lovely looking bike and you would never know they were eBay fairings.

£2k- £2.5?
Not sure what sport bikes go for.

Good luck with the sale

why you selling? :crying:

Ferking Claire is logged in on my iPad again :doze:

It’s all a bit up in the air right now but I have an opportunity to leave the UK for a year or two. My flat went on the market yesterday and I’ve gone away for the weekend to have a good think about my options. So I guess that’s why I’m getting an idea of it’s value

from examples on ebay, £2.5k seems to be normal.

If I were you though, I’d put the gearing back to standard

Mate, I’m so damn busy right now I doubt I’d even wash it let alone mess about with spanners!

Do it!!!

I spent a year working abroud when I was 20, it was the best year of my life. And I would recommend it to anyone thinking of doing it.

If you don’t sell it, I’ll look after it for you

Ollie send me a photo, a mate is toying with doing his licence, I know he has seen a couple of Gsxr’s…

let me babysit it…please?:smooooth:

If you search on ebay and check the box for “completed listings” you’ll see what similar bikes have sold for even the auctions.

After a good think, I’ve decided as an asset, it’s not really worth selling.
I’m keeping my flat, the rental yield has surprised me far more than i expected so going to rent it out.
I’ll keep the garage for myself so it will live in there, may come in useful at some point i guess

or I could look after it for you?

I tried that with my CB and it came back bent…

it was bent when you lent it to me! plus it wobbled at anything over 40.

Depends. Are you going to ‘fix’ it too?

I’m still not sure what I’m doing yet…I’m in the rather fortunate position to have three offers on the table and I’m not sure which to go for, if any.
I do now have a commitment in London early November so I won’t be going anywhere before that anyway

does it need fixing?
