CBR600F on ebay - thoughts?

Spotted on ebay, looks very good! He is offering a buy it now at £3000 what are peoples thoughts on the bike and price?

Also, this is re-listed, last time it ended on £2700 which met the reserve but he seems to have put it back on?

Is this the right section for a CBR600F???

Looks a bit steep to me personally. If I were you i’d go for the newer FS model, you can get nice ones for £2500 (or less) and they look alot better imo.

And I wouldn’t call a cbr a cruiser, although I guess it depends how you ride haha.

TBH, 2.5K is absolute top money for that, and I wouldn’t be wanting to pay more than 2k

There is one like that in Chiswick Honda for 3K which you could probably negotiate on. Plus it comes with a warranty. That bike is 8 years old so 3K seems a bit steep.

My CBR600F6 is gonna be up for sale in early June and I’m looking for £3k for that.

Ok the milage is higher (33k) but it still rides like new.

Therefore £3k for older machines doesn’t seem that cheap to me.

Thanks very much for the responses!

I have been staying away from the F Sport to hopefully keep the insurance as low as possible, they are virtually an RR before it was an RR aren’t they?

I’m seriously considering your’s Scotty, what sort of warranty are you gonna give me!??! HA!
Can you send me some more pics, you should have a PM with my email on it!

CBR600Fs are still commanding top money because they are such a sorted bike.

Even one’s with tatty bodywork are over 2K.

My mate had bought a used one for 2.5K. We rode about 3000 miles around Europe plus he commuted on it everyday.

He sold it for the same amount even though it had been down the road.

You should run some quotes before you make assumptions about insurance (www.thebikeinsurer.com is a great place to start). I ran a quote for a 2001 CBRF4 and then another one for a new CBR600RR and there was only 300 pounds difference.

Insurance is far from an exact science. Running the same quote every day will acheive different results. You just have to keep going till you get a really good quote.
