The pickup of this blackbird is unbeliveable.This guy left me 30ft behind from a signal light startup. May be there is something wrong with my cbr 600 or these blackbirds are really have so much pick up power?
An engine nearly twice the size helps… 
It’s a bored out Blade motor, with daft power, dafter torque, and it handles as well as a bike half it’s size. Unless you get into stop start bends no 600 sport is gonna get near (unless the Bird’s got a twat on it). It’s a great bike for shuffling about like an old sports tourer, then stuffing 'em when they have a go. Best all rounder ever IMO. After 4 years I really fancy something different, but I can’t bring myself to part with it, cos whatever I get will be worse in more ways than it’s better (if that makes any sense). I’ve just fited VFR bars (slightly higher and closer) which really make a difference in London traffic too. What in gods name made you think you had a prayer? Not only is almost twice the capacity but it was the first genuine 180mph production bike. Birdy’s rock!
The only thing I’ve come close on is a 999s and it wasn’t really that close…
It’s the only bike I’ve ridden that really scared the ****e of me - so much so that I gave it back.
Now I understand the twinkle in the eye of a senior QC when he told me he rode a blackbird (and then said that he wouldn’t disturb my bike trip to Scotland by calling me to court and would wait til the following week - top guy!)

Blackbirds are really great! I’d have one at a drop of a hat. Sublimely comfortable and effortless power! Honda build quality too! Seriously fast. Your CBR600 would not stand a chance at all.

The only reason that a 1000 gets smoked by a 600 in a straight line is the rider.
Me likes the blackbird… Ridden both the carbed and injected variants. Stonking bike that only seems to get better the faster you go
