CBR 125 2004

Hey, I’ve got a 2004 Honda CBR 125.
After this current cold spell my battery has gone dead so I am wanting to replace the battery…

Only problem is… I cant get to it.

Anyone know how on earth I get the seat off and get to the battery.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks =]

think we had 4 people hunting round one of these at BM for the seat lock. if I remember right, it’s under the left rear fairing?

I could be thinking of a different 125 though

Ill give it a look tonight, and let ya know how I get on.
Thanks.

From what I remember of my old (2006) bike.

rear seat pad comes off using the key on the nearside rear panel at the bottom of the “R” in 125R.

After that there is a 5mm? hex key running from the back towards eth front into the riders seat pad which you have to unscrew to get the seat off. after taht it’s a doddle.

The fastest way in is to read the riders handbook first.

Yup. It’s the old British Army manual first line: “If all else fails, read the instructions.”

Haha. reading the instructions would be so much easier. Except I don’t have any so I am at a loss there.

Im going to go and give it a try now! Ill be reporting back my findings.

Being my first bike… all this faffing about is giving me a chance to learn a lil more about the bike itself.

Few other problems which I need to solve… or atleast understand so keep your eyes peeled for those too!

Cheers guys!

Hey I found it!
theres a hole next to the 125… which unfortunately has no lock in it… instead… underneath there is an old cable tie someone has used to create a locking mechanism. give it a tug and the seat pops off!

Thank you very much for the help!
