Cat C write off

A question:

What is the procedure with a car which is written off under cat C to put it back on the road? After I fix it, does it need to go through the normal MOT or is there any special test for that? Prices?Conditions?

And a second thing: do you know any cheap accident repair garage?

That’s what I’m interested in:

regular MOT is fine, don’t think you need a special test.

you just insure it and all is good… it will be a hard car to sell, if they look up the history…

If its cat c, to me knowledge it need not even have anything wrong with it, it could just be costmetic damage…its just uneconmical to repair to the state prior to the accident.

If it passes mot fine then its road legal no matter what it looks like…

u could get some dodgy garage to repair cosmetic damage as it would look good for a while but im sure it will go bad again…so for a temp fix might be worth it.

nice 200sx i got an s14.

I used to have two S13, I’ve spent a lot of money on the last one modifiyng it and then I boiled the engine on the german autobahn doing 150mph for 15mins.

About 250Bhp, RWD, LSD. That’s fun!!

cool man im liking it.

If it’s already in your name, you should be ok or if it’s not listed on the DVLA database.

If not then you need a Vehicle Inspection Check done through VOSA, a division of the DVLA. They cost about £30 and require you show an m.o.t when you go for the check.

Without having done that you can’t get yer mits on the log book.

Thanks a lot.

I’m not gonna go for that one, I’ve seen more photos today and the damage is too big.

I can always count on you guys!!
