This placed used to do trick and special parts. Owner died in practice for a club race at Croix a couple of years back, but the firm is up and going again. Not sure if they will be able to help, but may be worth a shout.
I’ve just bought a carbon hugger from king Carbon, my bike doesn’t come with any kind of rear hugger at all which is a bit disapointing but this thing didn’t really fit that well, still have to make the chain guard fit better and had to glue the rear end of it to the swingarm with Wurth (horrible stuff used for gluing in car windscreens etc) to stop it shaking around. Looks OK now and very solid but it’s not going to come off in a hurry.
how much £ are you talking? a kilo in sprung weight will make chuff all difference geez. you might notice your wallet is lighter tho.
if you want bling that will actually make a difference then get lighter wheels, or upgrade the suspension (and have it sprung to your specific weight)oh and just an fyi, just because its carbon fibre doesn’t necessarily mean its lighter. you get what you pay for to a large extent, and some of it is as heavy as the stock plastics
yupunless you’re racing at the top end of the sport, if you reckon the next guy is going passed you cos he’s got a carbon mudguard, you’re sadly mistaken :Pthink about it - road bike weighs prob around 200kgs wet (fuelled up, oil etc), rider even based on a light guy is a good 70kgs. spend god knows how much to save off a 1/270th in overall weight? pointless other than to look at in fact, the best way you can make the bike quicker is to spend the cash on the rider with a trackday/trackschool
