Car Test

I’ve got a couple options avalible to me.

  1. Sign up for the IAM test at £65 and will take me 2-3 months to complete and will also help me reduce insurance, better rider, ect…

  2. Get my car license but i’m not sure of the costs involved. I used to drive in the US and had done for 5 or so years but i’d need a few lessons in a manuel transmission car. Any ideas on the type of costs involved? it would be nice to be able to go off for weekends away in a car.

Personally I would do both. I’m relatively new to the bike scene, but have a had a lot of training when it comes to advanced, defensive and offensive driving skills, both military and civilian. The IAM course will definitely give you a lot more confidence and also drops your insurance etc… So you’re on to a winner with both. As for getting out and learning how to drive a stick shift car, just ask one of your friends to take you out for an hour or so, then book at least two hours with a qualified instructor prior to taking your test. This will ensure that you haven’t picked up bad habits from your friends, which may lead to you failing your test etc… Once you know how to drive, it doesn’t take much to get to test standard.

Good luck, whatever you choose to do mate.

RR:D

Yea i’d like to do both by the start of summer fingers crossed. Unfortunatly the only person i know that has a manuel is my dad and i’m pretty sure he won’t teach me in the ferrari:crying:

I`d do both aswell.

I dunno? …

L plates might quite suit a Ferrarri ?? :stuck_out_tongue:

unfortunatly it’s dark blue otherwise the reds might well match:w00t:

Oh go on then, tell him to lend it to me for a weekend and I’ll teach you;)
