we had a staff sale of cameras recently Jay. I would have told you but they told us on the Thursday and said everything would be going to a dealer next Tuesday, so not much time to decide. You just had to grab it while you could. This dealer was selling it all on eBay, so could be the same cameras. It was ‘B’ stock which means returned from the customer, used. Some itmes missing accessories, packaging etc. no warranty, but everything tested and working… so basically just like a second hand camera. D2H about £500, D2HS/D200 £600, D2X £1000. dunno how that compairs with ebay.

Psst, Nikon are best, it’s just that they don’t have the fashionable white banding that Canon do, so sell less units.

Canon’s customer service pure outnout STINKS! Had sent one to them for repair and it took OVER SIX MONTHS for them to tell me sorry we have LOST your camera!!! Offered me another instead but told them to erm PAY me out - went and got Minolta instead. Minolta (RIP with Sony) were actually the best units.
Anywho - if there is any D2 units avail/going drop me a line, would love to have one. Have been eyeballing em for about a year now and just about ready to take the plunge.

Oh, and it was shot on a Canon. 
I sent my 30D back to Canon under warranty to have the focusing readjusted. Including shipping in both directions it took 5 days, so my personal experience with Canon Services is very good…

The reputation of the camera firm will then be based entirely and unquestionably upon the ability of the goons that buy them.
