£30Some of you may remember that recently I was looking for 1 day insurance to get my son’s moped back from the dealer, anyway that’s now done. But the quandary was shall I use it or sell it? I decided to get a quote, bear in mind it’s a 2010 Peugeot 50cc Speed-fight, 40ish yr old Male :Whistling:, with 3yrs NCB and 12yrs riding exp. I was gob smacked when searching moneysupermarket the quote above came back in the search results…

I was considering going with the pay monthly option which only adds a mere £3000.00. :w00t:

Has anyone else had stupid quotes like this?

  1. This is definitely Damiens work!!

Ye definitely go with the pay monthly. Great deal!!

F*** me!!! Do you park it overnight in Aleppo?!!!

But thats not the best quote right?

Insurance companies intentionally price themselves out of areas of a market that they don’t want to be involved in.

The best quote was £98.17 Full comp, so it looks like this is the way to go…

St3R… :D… No the leafy suburbs of Kent.

The space in the garage is diminishing…

Surely the excess needs to be more… say about 4,500?

Go back until you get a quote that has a proper excess on it, you’re getting off lightly there! :stuck_out_tongue:

Most I’ve ever been quoted was 7k…that is something else :w00t:

I’m 18 and my insurance on a SV650 is cheaper than that…

If you can be arsed to search, there’s one I uploaded about 4 years ago, when I got a quote £96,000 for my R6 insurance!

:w00t: Probably relative though when you think my quote is for a 50cc moped!!!

I had to drink copious amounts of brandy to get over the shock :hehe:

I queried one of these quotes a couple of years back and the company told me that:

1: It’s an area of business we don’t want to take on.
2: You get a silly quote you are never going to take. At least you don’t have to answer “yes” to that standard question “Have you ever been refused insurance by an other company.”

By insurance company scruples (you’ll not see those two words in the same sentence that often) they are doing you a small favour.

They were, I went about this *rse about face.:Whistling: Just as a last resort I tried to add this to my existing policy with ebike, imagine my amazement when it was added for an extra charge of… £00.00. Result and well done ebike…
