Haven’t ridden on the road during the day for few months now, enjoy riding after hours when the roads are a little less busy etc etc.
So - working from home today as I have a meeting at 2pm with a colleague who is working not to far away and some nice biking roads between us so out comes the bike…
Only to get stopped 5 miles down the road for no apparent reason other than spot checks. ’ might have been the plate or dodgy light thou’
The guy was a bike copper and was actually a nice guy, did the I’m a good citizen routine 1, engine off 2, dismount, 3, helmet and gloves off 4, stand next to him on his bike, 5, agree with everything he said. Still got 30 quid fine for small plate, didn’t care about pipe or visor and I also need to produce documents at local cop shop.
Think I will stick to my evening blasts from now on…
