You’re A Biker Wanna’ Be, If

  • You spit out the bug that just flew in your mouth.
  • You spend more time shining your bike than riding it.
  • You’re too cool to wave at the kids in the mum-mobile in front of you.
  • You grab for your hairbrush before your old lady.
  • You take your bike into the shop for oil changes.
  • Your £300 boots aren’t scuffed from riding.
  • You think that a kick-starter is a mocha latte.
  • You set at least one mirror, if not both, to reflect yourself.
  • Your saddle bags say “Gucci”.
  • You carry a lap-top in your saddle bags.
  • Your tattoos wash off.
  • You put your pony-tail back in the drawer after you get home.
  • You won’t ride down a gravel road.
  • You’ve never seen a sunrise from two wheels.
  • You only ride on weekends, when you can.
  • You never ride to work.
  • All your leathers match.
  • There are no wrinkled, faded, creased, or scratched areas on your leathers.
  • You don’t own a rain suit.
  • You’ve never ridden long enough to know that stock seats are never comfortable.
  • You’ve never had to replace a worn out tire.
  • You’ve had to replace your tires, but because they were too old and not too worn.
  • You like to ride by stores with big picture windows so you can admire your reflection.
  • You ride a Ducati.
  • Your longest road trip this year was to BM for bike night.

My good news is that I got out of the house today and it was not to go to hospital. Went to Sainsburys with the wife and kids. Because the leg was hurting a lot when using the crutches I used one of Sainsburys mobility scooters.

Skittled grannies left right and centre, cheered me right up:D

Haha henry you just described Pj :D:D:D

My children were off doing their own thing, the sun was out and I was at a loose end … so I got on the bike and went to Oxford for a walk through Christ Church Meadow, a browse of the secondhand bookshops and tea.

I even found a lovely early illustrated edition of Thy Servant a Dog (Kipling) in the Oxfam in Turl Street.

Back to London in a flash and now I am eating raisin toast.

If experiencing any of this vicariously cheers you up, then my work here is done.

I spent the afternoon watching tv in bed, before going to Tesco’s to do some shopping. Am now sitting in front of the tv again, with a belly full of chinese and one and a half bottles of the red stuff to go. That sounds nice enough to me! :satisfied:
Whenever life is full of bad news, just remember these simple words: “The sweet is never as sweet without tasting the sour!”

I’ve had flu all week (real bad man flu, not just the normal man flu), spent friday in bed feeling terrible and today is the first day I’ve felt human again. Will have to fix the rf tomorrow.

But the good news is that I’ve done some stupid stuff on a bike and am still sat here all in one piece feeling very, very grateful for that simple fact.

I went to work today glad that i still had a job, loadsa people in my company got made redundant on friday.

If anyones feeling down try this, hes genius…

The enemy (Mrs shando) is away to her mate’s in Jockistan for the weekend so I’ve been generally sitting about in my pants eating takeaway playing XBox360 with the volume up loud and doing f**k all else. The place is in sh*t state but there’s always tomorrow, aaaaahhhhh…

Here’s some good news - unleaded petrol at the BP garage in Greenwich is 99.9p per litre!

Steve you are so gonna get a slap
Mind you I was Reading it and was thinking a few actually are me

Oxford . . . second hand book shops . . . tea . . . you’ve cheered me up – If I had children and they were doing there own thing, that is precisely what I would have done!

I climbed a mountain yesterday, had a lunch of red wine, cheese and french bread - more wine than anything else.

Made dinner in the evening, another bottle of red, and got 2 numbers on the lottery. Almost got a tenner.

Lovely blue skies this morning, and fly home tonight, no wine tonight, got to drive home from the airport.

My misses got me a day at Brands driving single seater race cars.

I’m flat on my back reading a book by one of my favourite authors with a cup of tea.

I’m in Lisbon (Portugal) and the sun is shining…

The only problem is I’m working here for 2 weeks and I don’t have a bike to ride… (or time to ride one)

Ah, Play Boy!
