Westy is a LB “helper” for Newbies - met him once - a very nice bloke
Rob is a relatively new biker - met him once - a very nice bloke
Westy goes on hols
Rob, aware that the BM meets are difficult to find, a bit intimidating, decides to encourage some Newbies down to the BM meet
Lots of people are up for this
Westie come back from hol and see the threads
Westie (mis)interprets these as an attempt to arrange a Newbie night - this is his turf and he is a bit peeved
Westie posts a sacastic note / pm about this
Rob takes exception - over reacts a bit
Things snowball to where two good guys are having a bit of hand bags
The rest of us - sit back and wonder quite how it got so out of hand
One or two enjoy this to the point where they throw in a few handgrenades to stir it up

Hopefully - Rob will still come tonight - as he is clearly still a nice bloke with loads of enthusiam, especially for Newbies…as is Westy.

See some of you guys tonight…

More importantly - I’m on 6 weeks holidays from tonight…boy do I need 'em!
