Under £100 is a tall order, however
Have a look on JTS website, note you’ll need to re-proof every 12 months
Check out RST. For the lower budget end, they did ok by me when I had their textile stuff.
I got Art junior a JTS Dart that has kept him warm and dry during the past 12 months, probably needs re-proofing now
From bitter experience over the years I have great difficulty reconciling the “under £100” bit with the “waterproof” bit
Obviously there will be compromises for that price. Have a look at some of the Hein Gerrick Shelltex range (their cheaper version of Goretex). I have one of their jackets and very pleased with use/price.
Rayven also quite good on the budget .
Looks like it might fit the bill
Yup I had that one with matching troosas for when I did the commute .
But is it the right blue? For the fairings and the rim tape?:ermm:
I still have a waterproof jacket for sale.
Check the for sale section.
I’m currently considering this one. Any horror stories?
IF IT WAS MY MONEY I WOULD BUY RST OR HG
Just recently won this on ebay - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RSR-TOURING-JACKET-IN-BLACK-AND-WITH-LINING-/370692271971?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&nma=true&si=zJ%2F6WUvDjefvwOpHZVNyVc2O6S4%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
Shop around and I’m sure you’ll find something well within your budget. The jacket I got is similar to the one your getting. Mind you RST, RSR and Frank Thomas were all made in the same place if I’m correct.
IF YOU POP INTO HG WE HAVE 40% OFF HG STUFF ATM
RST CAN DO 15% OFF
Is that at every HG mate? I like the look of the
Tourer/Touring SHELTEX® Suit Jacket, blackreduced from 220 to 132. You got one of those hanging up?
IF YOU TELL ME WHAT SIZE I WILL SEE IF I CAN GET ONE.
YES ALL HG BUT THE 15% OFF U MAY NOT GET AT ALL HG SHOPS
BUT STOCKWELL WILL GIVE ALL LB’S 15% OFF
Got an RST Alpha for £80 a year & a half ago. Pleasantly surprised. Lacks a proper zip-out thermal lining but keeps the rain out and is a good fit.
There’s the Alpha II out now which costs about £70.
