Camera for the bike

I know it’s been done a 1000 times, but cameras change, prices change etc.

Not bothered about recording super amazing footage - mainly cos I don’t ride super amazingly.   Just think it would be handy to have something on continuous loop in case of SMIDSY scenario…

Must be

1.  Cheap.

2.  Idiot proof to put on bike

3.  Idiot proof to work

Thx

Myself and a few others on here use this system
And yes it works on a constant loop

He’s been assimilated by the IAM.

He’ll be wearing a Norwich City shirt next on the grounds that being canary yellow it’s more visible & therefore safer than a blue tractor boys one…

It’s worse than we thought, he’s even talking about washing his bike on another thread…

Will have to organise a intervention.

Too much time on my hands…even checked the tyre pressure the other day.

You can fdck off with the Naaaridge top though Bad enough having a green bike.

↑  LOL   !!

Stick a Drift Stealth 2 on your helmet. Good quality, easy to use and records where you look as the chances are that’s where the images of Mr Fuckwit will come from. Don’t put it on your bike…

Surely for a SMIDSY cam you’d be better off with a dual front and rear facing motorcycle mounted set up.

I’d be interested to see the Wise or similar motorcycle monuted dual cam set ups and a sample of the video quality, just to see how clear it picks out registration plates and facial features for the purpose of later ID.

Idiot proof to work, I’m thinking you need one that is/has

  1. Dual aspect front and rear facing, permanently mounted to the motorcycle.

  2. Automatically starts recording when the ignition is turned on. Hard wired to a switched live means no need to turn on/off, change batteries etc.

  3. G force sensors to automatically protect recorded footage by taking it out of the re-write loop in the event of a shunt.

1; heres photos of my front and rear cameras

2 depending on how you wire it up

I have mine wired to an Aux fuze block & is set for ignition live

3 it comes with a button to press to save files to stop them being overwritten it also comes with some other tricks like GPS, speed,Lane change & a few others

I don’t have mine set on my system is just set to record in a constant loop (128gb card) & quality is set to normal which gives good results

I don’t know how to upload videos but there are pleanty of reviews on the line should need wish to see what others are saying

a word of warning its not all roséy I had problems with the 12-5v power supply so dumped the one they supplied & brought another from Nippy Normans which was a lot better quality

the main unit is a real tight fit under the pillion seat of my bike keeping the standard tool kit

I made the camera mounts for my bike the ones supplied wasn’t the best

According to this http://www.innovv.com/the-k1-cm4l

The K1 does have a G-sensor
