Cam Tensioner and gasket, help needed

Hey guys, ive been advised that my speed triple 955i needs the cam tensioner replacing, its something id like to do but im not confident enough to do it, is there anyone on here that could help me? blowjobs consdidered or even money lol…

Don’t know enough to give a BJ so I’ll give it a miss. :w00t::D:P;)

Is that Giving, or Receiving!

Do you have a service manual? If I have the info, I can help you out (plus have all the tools at my disposal)

might just be the tensioner.

Two pretty distinct schools of thought on this:

One says: change the tensioner first and see if that makes the difference.
Two says: if one needs doing, so does the other.

And that doesn’t help you either way. My personal choice would be to change the pair on the grounds of why get your hands dirty twice?

Can be a dead simple job ** if you exactly mark up the positions of the cam(s) and crank shaft first.** Can be a pain in the rear.

I wouldn’t touch it without the manual and any special service tools needed.

Hmm. Realy handy advice there. No bloody use at all except to tell you to get the manual first.

hey zine, that could be useful, ive got the haynes manual… where r u based?
