Cam Chain on an SV650S...and Odd Rattles!

hey all

Recently my SV has become quite vibey, tis odd cos i ever really noticed it before, lately when i start it up it has a very very slight rattle? being a twin it makes all sorts of noises, but this ones starting to bug me! its fine in the morning on the way to work, feels great, on teh way home it feels pants, seem to rattle and vibrate alot more on the way home! very odd…

i have been told not much goes wrong with SV’s? apart from the cam chains on them can go. is this rattle the cam chain??
also when going along in 1st or 2nd gear the bike really rumbles and it feels like somethings grating! or im in the wrong gear even tho im not? tho i can seem to find what it is, once over 35mph it dissapears.

tis bugging me, so it be great if someoe can give me some anwsers!
im a natural born worrier so maybe its just me, but as im unsure i thought i’d post up, just in case something is very wrong!

cheers:)

best burn the sv & collect the insurance money just to be on the safe side mate;)

seriously though most bikes make all sorts of noises… mine does!!

get a mechanics stethoscope and have a listen to your engine, you wont sleep for a week…
