Calling for experience biker and R1 owner for help

Hi Dan,

Did they sort out the EXUP?

Yep. The dealer did sort out the EXUP valve problem

99% of used bike warranties dont cover consumables, Tyres, Pads, Disks and Clutches. I think you have little hope of getting a dealer to commit to fix a consumable item. He/she will argue it was fine when we had it, it was fine when you test rode it and it was fine when we sold you it and now its not

Take ADZ up on his offer mate, not many people will give up their time and this is very nice of him to do so. I would also buy him some beers and get him to check the entire bike over, If a dealer has let a bike go out with a slipping clutch and f***** X-up valve he knows about it and chances are its a lemon and needs to go back, you wont win on the clutch but ADZ might find something else you can back and claim consumer rights on.

Good luck fella, Used bikes are a mine field especially when you dont know what ya looking at and it takes the shine of your first big bike so sorry for that dude.

I agree! this is very kind of Adz to offer me the help. I am going to pop around his tomorrow and he will take a look at the bike for me.

Just a little update. Took the bike down to Adz’s on sunday and he thinks it is perfectly ok so no need to change the clutch and it isn’t slips at all. It is always good to have an 2nd option. Thanks Adam.

There you are Dude, nothing to worry about. This is why you only use Dealers who are recommended to you by people you trust. Thats the good thing about the Praise section on here. With a group this big good reputations travel far.

Now enjoy your bike.

That’s great news! Nice one Adz

You still here…what you doing a weeks notice :stuck_out_tongue:

yeah seems fine to me!

crack it open and it wheelies… no clutch slip…

no problems pulling away hard…

it grabs a tiny bit but its not affecting dans riding pleasure so why change it untill it does…
